VRNation Appoints Durk Johnson as Chairperson of the Board

Bend, OR – September 18, 2026 – VRNation, the national association dedicated to advancing the vacation rental industry through education, connection, advocacy, and professional growth, has appointed Durk Johnson as Chairperson of its Board of Directors, effective September 18, 2026.

Johnson, a longtime vacation rental industry leader, educator, and member of VRNation’s Executive Committee, steps into the role as the association continues its next phase of growth, with an expanded focus on education, industry connection, professional development, and strengthening the vacation rental community nationwide.

“I’m excited about where VRNation is headed and honored to take on this role,” said Johnson. “We have tremendous momentum, an engaged Board and team, and an opportunity to continue building an organization that brings our industry together, creates meaningful education, and helps vacation rental professionals grow.”

Johnson succeeds Tera Lorimer, who served as Board President and has played an important role in VRNation’s growth and evolution. VRNation is grateful for Lorimer’s years of leadership, service, and commitment to the organization and the vacation rental industry.

As part of the leadership transition, VRNation has updated the title of its Board’s senior officer from President to Chairperson, better reflecting the governance role of the position and the partnership between the Board and VRNation’s executive leadership.
