VRNation Appoints Tera Lorimer of Luxury Getaways as Board President
The nationwide vacation rental association enters its next chapter with an operator, builder, and standards-setter at the helm.
Bend, OR - June 25, 2026 - VRNation, a community of vacation rental professionals dedicated to elevating industry standards, education, and collaboration, announced the appointment of Tera Lorimer as Executive Board President at its annual conference in Denver, Colorado.
Lorimer assumes the role as VRNation sets its sights on transformation, deepening its reach across North America through outreach, education, and advocacy for property management companies, individual hosts, and industry partners.
“VRNation was built on a belief that property managers and hosts committed to excellence can move an industry forward in ways that individuals never could alone. I have spent my career in this business and I know what it looks like when it works, and I know what it costs when it doesn’t. This organization exists to close that gap, and I intend to pour everything I have into making sure it does.”
— Tera Lorimer, Executive Board President, VRNation
Lorimer is the founder of Luxury Getaways, a high-end vacation rental management company operating across the Pacific Northwest, greater Phoenix, and the Golden Isles of Georgia, and COO of Kestrel Homes, a design-build firm with more than 100 projects in the Mt. Baker region. She builds properties, operates them at scale, and now sets standards at the national level. That combination is rare, and it is exactly what this moment calls for.
VRNation’s transformation reflects a deliberate broadening of scope and mission, extending its reach across North America with a commitment to professional excellence, education, transparency, trust, and ethical practices for hosts and property managers at every scale.
The association’s platform is built on a community-centric model: professional property management companies and individual hosts are treated as equal members of the vacation rental family, with education and support structured to help both groups thrive alongside one another.
“VRNation has always been led by people who are active in the industry. What Tera brings is something different. She melds passion and purpose in a way that makes her perfectly suited to lead this association into its next chapter. This is where the real work begins.”
— Heidie Henriksen, Executive Director, VRNation
